Just wanted to pop in a notice about Google Checkout. Most folks using payment gateways seem to be using either the one Paypal developed or the one eBay acquired last year from Verisign.
Google is presenting a viable option for many, and if any of you consider trying Google Checkout out in order to collect payments, I’d very much appreciate it if you’d do so through the following affilliate link.
I’ll promote you or what you’re up to in some way if you do.
From Google’s site “Google Checkout helps you attract new customers, convert more sales and lower transaction processing costs.
Google Checkoutâ„¢ is a checkout process that you provide on your website to enable your customers to buy from you quickly and securely, using a single username and password. And once they make a purchase, you can use Checkout to charge their credit cards, process their orders, and receive payment in your bank account.
This appears to be a direct attack on eBay’s payments business. But why not? There’s a huge amount of money to be potentially made in holding and transferring other people’s money.
If you have any comments on how Google Checkout is working for you, please don’t hesitate to post or linkback.
